உடையான் அரசருள் ஏறு.

Who has these six is a lion among kings;
An army, subjects, food, ministers, allies and forts.
Meaning:
He who posses these six things, an army, a people, wealth, ministers, friends and a fortness, is a lion among kings.

உண்ணாமை உள்ளது உயிர்நிலை ஊனுண்ண
அண்ணாத்தல் செய்யாது அளறு.

Not being swallowed is life; and hell
Will swallow the meat eater.

These four unfailing mark a king:
Courage, liberality, wisdom and energy.
Meaning:
Never to fail in this four things, fearlessness, liberality, wisdom and energy, this is the kingly character.

விலைப்பொருட்டால் ஊன்றருவா ரில்.

There will be none to sell it.
