Diligence, learning and boldness.
Meaning:
Vigilance, learning and bravery, these three things, should never be absent from the ruler of a country.

சான்றோன் எனக்கேட்ட தாய்.

A woman rejoices at the the birth of a son
But even more when he is praised.

மகன்தந்தைக்கு ஆற்றும் உதவி இவன்தந்தை
என்நோற்றான் கொல் எனும் சொல்.

The services a son can render his father
Is to make men ask, “How came his blessing?
